We would like to thank all of you who participated in the Richmond Rescue Inc.'s small scale MCI held in Huntington on June 3rd. Multiple service organiztions were present at the training site including Essex Rescue, Hinesburg Fire Dept., Huntington Fire Dept., Huntington First Response, Richmond Fire Dept. and Underhill/Jerico Fire Dept.
Special thanks to:
Yogi Alger and the Huntington Highway Dept. for using their heavy equipment to set up the vehicles and for the use of their gravel pit area for the exercise. Huntington Fire Dept, especially Chief Tate Jeffrey and Mike Ramsey for their assistance with drill set-up and use of the Huntington fire station. Ken Russin for providing a vehicle. Clark's Truck Center for aquiring, and delivering the school bus. All of the patients who did an excellent job in the pouring rain and were such good sports throughout the exercise. Ted Conant, Rich Dana and Andy Squires for making all of the injuries look realistic with Moulage. Craig Lamoureux, Jackie Goss and Dan Wolfson for evaluating the exercise. Marvin Crapenter for catering the event with delicious food. Brewster Pierce Elementary school for granting us permission to use their parking lot to stage emergency vehicles. Ron Mack for helping to coordinate the event.
Unfortunately, due to the poor weather conditions, DHART's helicopter could participate in this exercise.
A very special thanks goes to Medora Plimpton for all the time and hard work she put into organizing this training exercise.
